STORY: Priscilla the mystic tortoise has backed Slovakia to beat England in the last 16 of the European Championship on Sunday (June 30).
The Galápagos Tortoise from London Zoo on Friday (June 28), slowly moved towards two plants marked with flags and without any hesitation picked Slovakia for the win.
While England arrived as favourites to the EURO 2024 tournament, they have left fans frustrated with three tepid performances, falling short on their aim to make a statement with a decisive win against Slovenia on Tuesday (June 25) that would have set them up for the knockout rounds with momentum.
Slovakia had a solid Euro qualifying campaign with seven wins and a draw in 10 games, while England won six and drew two in a five-team group.
The winner will meet either Italy or Switzerland in the quarter-finals.
