Two men died of asphyxiation when installing a concrete ring in a well in Mawlamyine, Mon State, on May 3 morning, according to the Myanmar Fire Services Department.
The incident occurred at around 11 am on May 3 at a house on Shan Village (E) Street, Kya-in Ward, Mawlamyine, Mon State, when three men lost consciousness when installing a concrete ring in a well.
Personnel of the Mawlamyine Township Fire Services Department rushed to the scene of the incident and conducted a rescue operation. Two men died in the incident while one was rescued.
The bodies of the deceased were taken to Mawlamyine General Hospital by vehicles of a social assistance organization in Mawlamyine.
