The Malaysian medical team, which has been providing medical care to residents of the earthquake-hit Sagaing, has completed its treatments on May 28 and scheduled to leave Myanmar on May 30, according to the Sagaing Region Government. The medical team, consisting of both military and civilian professionals, opened a temporary hospital at the 700th Anniversary Memorial Stadium in Parami Ward, Sagaing from April 21 to May 28 and provided free medical treatment.

A total of 3,643 earthquake-affected and outpatient patients were treated during the treatment, and 305 patients underwent minor surgeries. The Malaysian medical team, which is about to leave Myanmar, was hosted by Sagaing Region Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw on May 28.
