The Ministry of Health is using state funds to acquire essential, high-quality medicines and medical supplies aimed at supporting patients and lowering their medical treatment costs. To prevent any shortages, it is crucial to systematically manage essential medicines, emergency medications, surgical drugs, and medical supplies, according to the Union Minister for Health, Professor Dr. Thet Khaing Win.
He made the remarks while speaking at a meeting with hospital administrators, professors and specialists from central-level hospitals and public hospitals with 200 beds or more, held at the Yangon General Hospital Training Center in Yangon.

Emergency treatment, surgical procedures, and laboratory tests must be managed to avoid incurring financial costs. Additionally, hospitals need to develop comprehensive mass casualty management plans for natural disasters and large-scale treatments. It is essential to conduct hospital-specific training carefully, as emphasized by Professor Dr. Thet Khaing Win.
