The death toll from the Mandalay earthquake in six regions and states has reached 3,739. There are 5,104 injured and 68 missing, according to the figures released as of May 27. The Myanmar Fire Service Department and search and rescue teams from home and abroad have been conducting timely rescue operations in the required areas.

In this effort, 653 people trapped in buildings were rescued alive and 816 were found dead. In addition, the Mandalay earthquake was followed by 183 aftershocks as of May 27, 11:34 p.m., according to the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology.
