A total of 30 flood relief camps have been opened to provide relief operations to more than 2,000 households in low-lying areas of Myitkyina due to the rising waters of the Ayeyawady River, according to the Kachin State Government.
As the water level of the Ayeyawady River in Myitkyina exceeded the danger mark on June 2, the number of flood-affected areas has increased. Therefore, until the afternoon of June 2, 30 flood relief camps have been opened in Myitkyina for 2,257 flood-affected households with a population of over 10,000.

Similarly, the state government is providing rice, cooking oil and bottled water to flood-affected households to ensure that their living and health needs are convenient . In addition, in Waingmaw, members of the township administration and social assistance organizations provided assistance to flood-affected people as the river water flowed into the town.
