The Jivitadana Sangha Hospital in Bahan Township, Yangon Region donated blood to the National Blood Bank on January 25, according to the Jivitadana Sangha Hospital (Yangon) Management Committee. The (23rd) collective blood donation event was held at the Jivitadana Sangha Hospital.

Chairman of the Jivitadana Sangha Hospital Management Committee U Aye Maung Than explained about the blood donation after the blood donation activities. The patient number of monks and nuns at Jivitadana Sangha Hospital has increased as well as the number of surgical patients so the need for blood has increased and the necessary blood has been requested from the National Blood Bank to perform surgeries.
23 monks, 5 nuns and 93 laymen were participated in the collective blood donation event. The Jivitadana Sangha Hospital has given medical treatment to monks and nuns as well as laymen.
