Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win said that the six-month plan to reduce the incidence of malaria needs to be implemented quickly. He made the remarks at a meeting to review the work of the Department of Public Health for Disease Prevention and Control held in Nay Pyi Taw on the morning of March 18.
Union Minister Dr. Thet Khaing Win said that a six-month malaria reduction plan has been developed to accelerate malaria control efforts in 2024 and early 2025 and that it needs to be implemented quickly.
The death number from dengue fever is said to decrease significantly in 2023 and 2024. In addition, according to the results of the elephantiasis infection survey conducted in 2024, no elephantiasis infections were found, so the goal of eliminating elephantiasis by 2030 will be achieved, said Union Minister Dr. Thet Khaing Win.
