Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win said that the six-month plan to reduce the incidence of malaria needs to be implemented quickly. He made the remarks at a meeting to review the work of the Department of Public Health for Disease Prevention and Control held in Nay Pyi Taw on the morning of March 18.

In addition, according to the results of the elephantiasis infection survey conducted in 2024, no elephantiasis infections were found, so the goal of eliminating elephantiasis by 2030 will be achieved, said Union Minister Dr. Thet Khaing Win.
