The Department of Public Health, Ministry of Health released a notification that as the Hepatitis( A ) is caused by the hepatitis A virus, easily transmitted and has a potential to become an epidemic, it is needed to prevent.
The ways in which the disease can be transmitted include eating unclean food that contains pathogens from the body of an infected person, closely contacting with a person who has hepatitis A and caregiving that person.

Symptoms include fever, fatigue, loss of appetite, nausea, stomach pain, jaundice, yellowing of the eyes, dark urine, pale stools and joint pain. Prevention methods include practicing good personal hygiene, washing hands with soap and water before handling food, before preparing food, before eating, and after using the toilet, washing food thoroughly with clean water before cooking. It is also necessary to drink water that has been boiled or purified water or water purification tablets or FDA-approved water, avoid eating raw meat and food exposed to fly, prevent leaks in toilets and septic tanks. It is also needed to use Ventilated Improved Pit Latrines (VIP Latrine).
In addition, to prevent the spread of infectious disease, food vendors are advised to stop handling and selling food for at least 10 days after the onset of yellowing of the skin and eyes. The notification of the Department of Public Health advised to visit a health center as soon as possible if the symptoms of hepatitis A such as fever, yellowing of the skin and eyes appear.
