Two medium urban search and rescue teams will be formed, according to the Myanmar Fire Services Department.
The teams will consist of 42 specially trained personnel, and the team members will conduct operations to search for trapped and missing people in disaster areas with the use of search dogs and technology. When doing so, they have to carry out a 24-hour, seven-day operation at a single location, and the medical team in the team will also be required to provide the necessary medical care service to its team.

Such teams will be formed to systematically carry out land and water search and rescue operations within the country and carry out relief and rescue operations on behalf of the country, said U Thein Htun Oo, director of the Myanmar Fire Services Department Headquarters. The Medium USAR Team will be first established at the Myanmar Fire Services Department Headquarters (Yangon) as well as in the Union Territory, and work will continue to be done to establish similar teams in major cities in other states and regions.
