The death toll from the Mandalay earthquake that struck on March 28 in six regions and states has reached 3,721 until May 11 with 5,104 injured and 86 missing, according to a state-run daily published on May 12.
The Myanmar Fire Services Department and local and foreign search and rescue have been conducting search and rescue operations timely in the affected areas and have rescued the people trapped in buildings. In doing so, they have rescued 653 survivors so far and recovered bodies of 798 victims, the daily reported.

In addition, local and foreign volunteers, organizations and donors are making cash donations and providing relief supplies to the earthquake-affected people, and these supplies are being distributed as soon as possible to the earthquake-affected people.
