Offcials needed to prohibit those who dump pigs died of swine disease in streams near the villages neighbouring with Hway Wone village, Nar Yaung village track, Tarlay township, Shan State (East), said the locals.
In the second week of January 2025, the death of pigs were reported in Hway Wone, Hakya and Kyata villages in the Nar Yaung village track, Tarlay township for the first time and the dead pigs were tied to rope and dumped into the streams. As the death of pigs were reported again in some villages of Tarlay , the awareness activities should be done not to throw the dead pigs into the streams and to bury them properly, suggested a resident in Hway Wone village,Tarlay township.
The pig breeder residents should contact with the Livestock Breeding and Veterinary Department through responsible persons of the village when the pigs have symptoms of disease and the dead pigs should be buried properly.
