The death toll from the powerful Mandalay earthquake has reached 3,600 as of April 7, according to Maj. Gen. Zaw Min Tun, head of the State Administration Council Information Team. There are 5,017 injured individuals, and 160 are still missing.

Ninety-four air flights, six vehicles, and five ships from 20 countries have arrived to help with the rescue efforts, involving 1,738 rescue workers, with more than 1,281 tonnes of supplies and 844 tonnes of rescue equipment. The Myanmar Fire Department, along with volunteers and international rescue teams, worked together to rescue 653 people alive and recover 700 bodies, said Maj. Gen. Zaw Min Tun.
