The Ministry of Health issued a notification to prevent the spread of microbial infections such as seasonal flu, which often causes acute respiratory infectious disease during the winter season, covid-19 infectious diseases and HMPV infectious diseases on January 13.
The notification mentioned that the infection rate of these viruses especially increased in the winter season and children, elderly and people with weak immune systems were seriously affected by these viruses.
The transmission of the disease may happen through droplets transmitted by a person suffering from infection sneezes, close in touch with infected person, through handshakes, through in touch with materials and surfaces with mouth, nose and eyes. The symptoms of disease include coughing, feeling illness, stuffy nose, soring throat and feeling short of breath. When the disease is acute, the person may suffer from bronchitis and pneumonia.
If someone feels suspicious of symptoms, protective measures should be taken by wearing a mask, washing the hands systematically with soap and water or using hand sanitizer, covering nose and mouth safely when sneeze and cough and keeping a distance from others.
The individuals who go to foreign countries with a recent rise in respiratory disease should be cautious to be free from infection and when he arrives back mother country and feels suspicious of symptoms of disease, he should go to nearest department of health and undergo treatments.
Currently, infections of respiratory diseases are monitored and there is no need for public concerns, said the Ministry of Health.
