An entertainment section of traditional Ata Thingyan festival will be included in The Myanmar Motion Picture Academy Awards for 2024, according to the Myanmar Motion Picture Organization.
The inclusion of the Myanmar traditional Thingyan festival is a tribute to the recognization as an intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO.
The entertainment section in the Myanmar Motion Picture Academy Awards will be presented in collaboration with the Myanmar Motion Picture Organization and Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture. The Myanmar Motion Picture Academy Awards Ceremony for 2024 will be held on February 9 in Nay Pyi Taw.
