Director Zinyaw Maung Maung was involved in a car accident in Zambuthiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw, on the evening of May 5. His son, Min Thant Maung Maung, wrote on his social media page that his father’s left thigh bone was fractured. The accident occurred at about 5 p.m on May 5 near Zabuthiri Township Hospital in Nay Pyi Taw.
A vehicle in the left lane overtook the car in front and collided with the one driven by Zinyaw Maung Maung. Zinyaw Maung Maung and three other men sustained injuries in the accident and were taken to Nay Pyi Taw 1000-bed Hospital by the Youth Social Assistance Organization. A CT scan revealed that he had only suffered a left femur fracture and was not in a life-threatening condition. His son, Min Thant Maung Maung, also mentioned on his social media page that his father was planning to undergo surgery and further treatment at Nay Pyi Taw 1000-bed Hospital.
