The building materials trade fair for those affected by the Mandalay earthquake in Sagaing began on May 12 at the 700-year-old football stadium in Sagaing, as reported by the festival organizing committee. The purpose of the fair is to help earthquake-affected residents in purchasing building materials at affordable prices.
The fair features 22 stalls selling various building materials, including cement, bricks, bamboo matting for walls, zinc, pipes, electrical accessories, and more, all at affordable prices. It also showcases affordable houses priced at Ks. 5.9 million, with dimensions of 20 feet long, 15 feet wide, and 9.5 feet high. If someone wishes to donate an affordable house, either the donor or the District Disaster Management Committee will construct it according to the design displayed at the fair. The building materials fair will take place from May 12 to 16 at the 700-year-old Football Stadium in Sagaing.
