Preparations to build a large earthquake museum have been started along with a disaster relief village near Thabarwa Meditation Center at Nay Pyi Taw 203 Mile Post on the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway, Thabarwa Meditation Center Sayadaw Ashin Uttama Thara told One News.
Preparations to build the museum were started by collecting vehicles, equipment , information data as well as photos and videos of buildings damaged by the March 28 earthquake. The aim of building the museum is to prevent future natural disasters and minimize losses if they occur in future.

U Thein Tun Oo, Director, Myanmar Fire Services Department said that he wanted to build an earthquake museum at a designated location where a building was damaged so that future generations can learn and remember the events that occurred on March 28 at 12:51 p.m.
The Mandalay earthquake that struck in Myanmar on March 28 killed thousands of people and injured many , as well as damaged religious buildings, state-owned buildings, roads, bridges, People’s homes were destroyed and lost.
