Legendary Myanmar melody singer Khin Nyunt Yee passed away at around 11pm on February 20, according to an announcement of a family member on social media.
Singer Khin Nyunt Yee passed away while she had been undergoing treatment at the Cancer Department of Yangon General Hospital for lung cancer since on January 30. She was 75 years old at the time of her death, and her funeral arrangements were not released by her family Members.
Singer Khin Nyunt Yee has sung hundreds of Myanmar music songs, and songs such as Saung Ami, Soka Thahtay Malay, Chit Ayeik, Tain Pali Nwe Hnaung, Letpan Pwint Kauk Ayauk La Mel, Pan Hnei Pauk Ta Lei Na Chin Tel, Moenya Einmet Myu have been popular ones among the fans of Myanmar music songs.
