The Myanmar Motion Pictures Organization announced the list of 18 nominated films for the 2024 Myanmar film academy awards on January 2.
The 18 nominated films are: “Mayei Ayekhethwargyathumyar”, “Phone Shwe”, “Bodaw King”, “Ayetsethsone”, “Ayetsethsone Anan”, “Thanyawzindwaytha Kyihsanphyitkheyin”, “Yaukkyarkaung Ataunghnithse”, “Takhoattaya”, “ Seikkakyi”, “Hnaung”, “Thabinthe Mya Hnin Si”, “Eikmatkayan”, “Mee”, “Chitthuthar Pantapwint Phyitkeyin”, “Hnoe Htamin”, “ Tain Bachi”, “Mi Tin Sein”, and “Myitta”.
The rule that no member of the judging panel of selecting Academy awards for the upcoming Myanmar Film Academy Awards Ceremony is allowed to win an Academy Award is unusual, and actor Naing Lu also said that he liked the winners to be those who truly deserve the awards.
The 2024 Myanmar Film Academy Award Ceremony will be held in Nay Pyi Taw on February 9, and 15 15 Academy golden statuettes will be awarded.
