As the 2025 Countdown Festival will be held on New Year’s Eve on December 31 in Yangon People’s Square and Park, the curfew will be suspended for one day, according to the Yangon Region government.
In Yangon Region, the curfew will be cancelled from 1 am to 3 am on January 1, 2025 for one night.
The 2025 Countdown Festival will be held at the Yangon People’s Square and Park on December 31 from 12:00 noon to 12:00 pm. The country’s famous actors, singers, DJ artists, dance groups and new generation singers will perform in the festival. An official from the Yangon Region government said that the selling shops, donating Satuditha feasts and playing fireworks will also include in the festival.
He said that security measures have been carefully planned and YBS cars have been arranged for the convenience of people from other townships to return home.
