It is set to hold the Myanmar Film Academy Award Ceremony for 2024 on February 9, 2025, and 15 film academy awards will be presented, Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn said.
He made the remarks at the coordination meeting for successfully holding the Myanmar Film Academy Award Ceremony for 2024 held on December 27.
The Prime Minister has said that it is to give special consideration to holding the ceremony and make arrangements to better organize it than last year, Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn said.
The judge panel of selecting the academy awards is to systematically select the awards winners in order that candidates deserving the awards could be selected and to consider facts in all aspects in the process of selecting academy award receptionists, the union minister said.
The union minister also added that the Myanmar film academy awards should be selected in accordance with the established rules and regulations through reviewing the public’s opinions.
The 2023 Myanmar Film Academy Award Ceremony was held on February 3 this year at the Myanmar International Convention Center-1 (MICC-1) in Nay Pyi Taw, and 12 film academy awards were presented including three national lifetime awards for motion pictures achievement as well as Best Costume Design awards.
