The 2025 university entrance exam began on March 17, and the first day of the exam is the Myanmar language subject. This year, registration for the university entrance exam was accepted up to a day before the exam, and requests for changes to the exam center were also accepted up to a day before the exam.
This year, the number of students who registered to take the exam was also bigger than last year with around 220,000 students nationwide, and there are 817 exam centers open across the country. The first question of the Myanmar language subject was not too difficult, Maung Ye Htet Aung, a student who took the exam at the Botahtaung BEHS No. 6 exam center in Yangon.
In Yangon Region, 91 examination centers have opened for this year’s university entrance examination, and 39,263 candidates have registered to take it, according to the Yangon Region Government. The Myanmar Examinations Department announced that this year’s university entrance examination will be held from March 17 to 22 without any break.
