The Ministry of Education will provide essential stationeries and other materials for students who will retake the matriculation exam in areas where answer sheets were damaged by the Mandalay earthquake.
There are approximately 63,000 students who have taken the university entrance exam in Sagaing Region, Mandalay Region, Nay Pyi Taw Council Area and Kachin State. These students will receive the necessary stationeries. Vice-chancellors, professors, associate professors and lecturers from universities will visit the designated schools to teach students retaking the exam while teachers from Basic Education will provide teaching and training.

The earthquake damaged the main building of Mandalay University, where the matriculation exam papers were reviewed, resulting in the loss of the answer sheets in a fire. As a result, the matriculation exam has been rescheduled to take place from June 16 to 21, without any holidays, to ensure fairness for all students. Additionally, the Ministry of Education has established training camps for students retaking the university entrance exam and is offering focused training and revision classes.
