An additional batch of humanitarian relief supplies from the UAE and Nepal has arrived for the victims of the Mandalay earthquake, according to a statement by relevant authorities.
A plane carrying 65 packages of medicine and temporary shelters weighing 24,860 kilograms donated by the UAE arrived at Yangon International Airport on April 10.
In the afternoon on the same day, another plane carrying 33,582 kilograms of relief goods including food and temporary shelters arrived from the UAE, and the donated relief supplies were received by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and officials.
Similarly, a plane carrying 25,445 kilograms of humanitarian relief supplies including medicine from Nepal also arrived at Nay Pyi Taw Military Airport on April 10 morning.
Arrangements are being made to deliver the supplies to earthquake-affected areas under the supervision of the relevant governmental departments.
