The state is planning to open agricultural and livestock universities in upper and lower Myanmar, said Union Minister for Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung.
The Union Minister said the message at the first coordination meeting on expanding the number of agricultural and livestock universities held at the hall of centennial building of Yezin Agricultural University (YAU) in Nay Pyi Taw on January 20 morning.

The Union Minister said at the meeting that the Agricultural University and The University of Veterinary Science, Yezin , in Nay Pyi Taw are training and producing experts in agriculture and livestock every year, but there are still in need of them.
The State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing also said at the meeting of the Union Government held on January 17 that agriculture and livestock high schools will be opened.
