In the Magway Region, the number of students taking the Grade-12 matriculation exam in the 2024-2025 academic year has increased compared to last year, said Regional Education Officer Dr. Kyaw Soe Naing. The matriculation exams began on March 17 across the country.

This year, the number of students taking the matriculation exam in the Magway Region is over 18,000, an increase of about 500 compared to last year. There are 49 examination centres. The number of participants has increased compared to the previous year, and the Magway Region has prepared well to achieve good results, said Dr Kyaw Soe Naing, Regional Education Officer of Magway Region.

In addition to the exam centres held at Basic Education Schools in Magway Region, emergency centres are also set up at relevant hospitals, which are linked to health officials for health care.
