In the earthquake-hit areas of Mandalay, Sagaing and Nay Pyi Taw and surrounding areas, many buildings on the earthquake fault line have been damaged, and they need to be rebuilt in different locations when rebuilding, said U Saw Htwe Zaw, vice-chairman of the Myanmar Earthquake Committee.
In the earthquake-hit areas, the Myanmar Earthquake Committee has conducted research work for GPS data from the earthquake, and experts such as geologists, geoengineers and structural engineers have conducted field research as well.

In the earthquake-hit cities of Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon, Mandalay and Sagaing, the Myanmar Earthquake Committee’s earthquake clinic teams, which include volunteer engineers, are providing free inspections to ensure that earthquake-hit buildings can be inhabited again.
