More than 80 million kyats in cash and more than one viss of gold items including other valuables found at the collapsed site of Sky Villa Condo in Mandalay on May 6, have been returned to a family member on behalf of the owner, according to a statement from the Myanmar Fire Services Department.
The MFSD is continuing to search and clear debris at the site of collapsed Sky Villa’s Buildings B, C and D with machinery and recover the bodies. On May 6, 83,000,000 kyats, US dollars, Chinese yuan, Thai baht, gold bars, jewelry and important documents were found in Room No. I 9 of Building (B). The items were handed over to a family member of the owner in the presence of the team of receiving and transferring the recovered items.

The jewelry and valuables found in Room No. J 9 of Sky Villa Building B were also handed over to the owner by the team. In addition, on May (6), 40 million kyats found in a house on Market Street, Moezar Ward, Sagaing Region, were also handed over to the owner, according to the MFSD.
