A total of eight forest fires broke out in Nay Pyi Taw in a single day on March 10, according to the Myanmar Fire Services Department.
The majority of these forest fires occurred in Ottarathiri Township with five fires burning in Ottarathiri Township, each in Pobbathiri and Zabuthiti townships and one near the Yanaungmyin Dam. Firefighters from the respective townships fire brigades rushed and extinguished the fires, according to the Myanmar Fire Services Department.
