Due to the powerful earthquake that struck near Mandalay on March 28, 3,592 houses were damaged in Yamethin Township, Mandalay Region, according to the Township General Administration Department.
Of the damaged houses, 290 completely collapsed and 3,302 were partially damaged. The earthquake killed 97 people and injured 133 others in the township.
