An aircraft carrying humanitarian relief supplies from China for the earthquake-hit areas arrived at Yangon International Airport at around 12:30 pm on April 22, according to a statement from the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar.
Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and Mr Ouyang Daobing, counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar, welcomed the additional relief supplies at the airport. The eighth batch of supplies includes bone grafting plates, bone grafting screws, bone grafting rods, equipment bags, Metronidazole tablets, Cefradine capsules, medical disinfectant tablets and medical iodine swabs, 37,903 kilograms in total, according to the statement.

The relief supplies will be delivered to Nay Pyi Taw under the supervision of the Yangon Region Government.
