Over 2.7 million tons of rice and broken rice were exported last year earning over US$1,300 million in export revenue, according to the Myanmar Rice Federation.
More than 100 companies exported the goods to 49 countries. In previous years, Myanmar earned about US$700 to 800 million in export revenue from rice exports but the export revenue increased to over US$1,300 million in 2024.
In addition, companies that want to export rice and broken rice in 2025 are invited to cooperate in the export business, and the Myanmar Rice Federation has announced that it is planning to provide necessary market and business support.
