The price of goat has roseddue to the increasing number of export, said livestock farmers. In the raining season of the last year, the price of a goat was said to be around Ks. 50,000 kyats, but now it is around Ks. 200,000.
U Hla Htay, a goat breeder from Inngone Village, Magway Township, said that goat prices are good because of the influx of export and that there are people buying in herd of goat. He added that this is the best time to raise goats because goats are not afraid of the hot season. The farmers said that the market is currently good and the prices are good because of the increasing number of export.
