Foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows into Myanmar exceeded US$31 million from April to May of the 2025-2026 financial year, according to data from the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA)

Seven new foreign investment projects entered the country early this financial year, with an investment volume of US$31.837 million. Six investment projects and one service project entered the manufacturing sector in the two months, led by China and Thailand.
As of the end of April 2025, 53 nations and regions had invested in Myanmar, with Singapore, China, and Thailand making the largest investments. The energy, oil and gas, and manufacturing sectors received the highest investment among the 12 domestic economic sectors.
