Promotion of Russia’s investment in Myanmar was discussed during the meeting of Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and the Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation held in Nay Pyi Taw on February 22, according to the press release.

At the meeting, they discussed promotion of Russian investment in Myanmar and systematic research for long-term benefits including availability of skilled workers and fulfilment of the need of infrastructure in making and implementing projects, the press release said.
In addition, Russia’s readiness to invest in electricity generation, fertilizer production and manufacturing of oil and chemical products, enhancement of bilateral cooperation and promotion of investment in the private sector were also discussed at the meeting, the press release said.
