Temporary residence permits will be issued for units of Thilawa Housing sold on January 28 under the home loan development project, according to the Department of Urban and Housing Development.
CHID Bank is handling the loan process related to the units sold at Thilawa Housing on January 28, and those who have been granted permission to buy the units will be allowed to temporarily reside.
Starting from March 20, the department will issue temporary residence permits. Those who are going to obtain temporary residence permits themselves must submit an original copy of their citizenship scrutiny cards and a copy of their household registration. Those who are to obtain the permits on behalf of the persons who are granted permission to buy the units, they must submit the original power of attorney, original copies and photocopies of their citizenship scrutiny cards and those of the persons, who are granted permission, along with copies of their household registration. The Department of Urban and Housing Development, Ministry of Construction, is developing low-cost and affordable housing projects and rental housing projects.
It is learnt that low-cost housing projects are being built and sold in Hlaingthaya, Shwepyithar, Dagon Myothit (Seikkan), Thanlyin and Kyauktan townships in Yangon Region. Those who want to buy apartments in these housings can open a housing savings account at the CHID bank, and if they save 30 millions kyats in their accounts, they will be able to take a long-term housing loan and buy apartments.
Currently, it is learnt that there apartments are being sold fraudulently with forged notification letters of the Department of Urban and Housing Development that says apartments in affordable housing projects are allowed to buy.
