The rental prices are rising in the Magway rental market due to high demand, said U Kyaw Myo Thu, Chairman of Magway Region Property Services Association. In Magway, there are many renters coming from other areas as well as renters for commercial purposes.
U Myo Kyaw Thu said that the areas in high demand are the wards in the neigbourhood of markets and schools and extended areas of the town. At present, there are more renters than those who buy the property among the internally displaced persons coming across the country.
In the Magway rental market, the rental price is Ks.300,000 in downtown areas, Ks.500,000 for commercial purposes and from 150,000 to above Ks.200,000 in extended areas per month.
