Measures will be taken to ensure that No.36 Heavy Industry in Kyaukse, Mandalay Region, is able to produce 5,000 tons of cement per day as soon as possible, according to the Ministry of Industry.
The plant started operating its kiln and cement mill on June 12 and has already started producing 2,000 tons of cement per day, but measures will be taken to meet the designated capacity of producing 5,000 tons of cement per day as soon as possible.

Efforts are being made to ensure the plant is able to operate at full capacity to provide the cement needed to carry out rehabilitation work on residential buildings, roads and bridges, factories, workshops and religious buildings damaged by the earthquake.
In addition, the buildings damaged by the earthquake at No.7 Textile Factory (Myitthar)are being repaired, it is planned to ensure that the factory starts production in the current fiscal year. In order to meet the targets, measures are being taken to resume operation of the factory as soon as possible. Only after the factory has been inspected by experts, its operations will resume.
