The Pigeon pea production as well as the market price decreased in Aunglan and Sinbaungwe townships, according to farmers.
The Pigeon pea is entering into the Aunglan broker’s sale centers and the price is Ks. 95,000 for a 20 viss bag which was Ks. 110,000 in the last year. The production decreased this year because of weather conditions and the price didn’t meet the last year, said Daw Yin Hla, a farmer from Thamangyi village, Sinbaungwe township.
The pigeon pea produced in Aunglan and Sinbaungwe are exported to India through Yangon market, according to Aunglan broker’s sales center.
