Another 3,010 tons of imported cement have arrived in Yangon. A ship carrying more than 3,000 tonnes of cement from abroad arrived at Shwe Pyi Thar Shwe Mee Port in Yangon from Kawthaung Border Trade Station on April 18 evening.
The imported cement is now being distributed in the market. Currently, cement the cargo ships carrying imported cement Kawthaung Border Trade Station are continuously arriving in Yangon.
In addition, the cargo ships carrying imported cement are expected to arrive continuously every week. As the rehabilitation work in earthquake-affected areas is underway and as it is the open season for construction, the construction work is gaining momentum.
The imported cement is allowed to meet the domestic demand for cement for these construction projects and strengthen domestic cement production.
