The Union Minister for Ministry of Energy U Ko Ko lwin emphasized the need to collaborate with relevant universities for field research aimed at identifying new oil reserves and natural gas deposits.

The Union Minister stressed this when he visited the applied research department of the Myanma Oil and Gas Enterprise in Yangon Region on January 19. He also pointed out the need to produce project-based research publications and advancing to applied research levels.

The Union Minister also stressed to do systematic research and laboratory operations to obtain accurate results critical for petroleum and natural gas exploration, to educate the next generation of staff about laboratory research activities and share techniques as well as to continuously observe modern technology without losing sight of its advancement.
