Myansat DTH, Myanmar’s fourth DTH TV channel, started going on air on January 15, the Ministry of Information of the Union of Myanmar announced. The launch ceremony of the channel was held at Myanmar Radio and Television in Nay Pyi Taw on January 15.
Myansat DTH includes programs that present Myanmar’s cultural heritage and traditions, local news, international entertainment programs presented in collaboration with entertainment media outlets and international channels that provide a variety of entertainment and knowledge. Myansat DTH is divided into two packages: Myansat DTH Package 1, which includes 98 channels, and Myansat DTH Package 2, which includes 176 channels.
Currently, Myansat DTH sales agents have been appointed in Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon and Mandalay to provide services. Borderless Broadcast Company Limited signed an agreement with Myanmar Radio and Television in November 2023 to broadcast the Myansat DTH channel.
