Myanmar – Russia Economic Forum was held at Radisson Hotel ၊ Conference Hall in Moscow in Russia on March 5, at 10 am local time. Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations Dr. Kan Zaw and the Minister for Economic Development of Russian Federation delivered opening speache.
Then Chairman of Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) U Aye Win briefly explained matters related to doing businesses in Myanmar and the Chief Executive Officer of Fund RC-Investment briefly explained Myanmar-Russian relations and investment opportunities.
Then, General Secretary of Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) Daw Khaing Khaing Nwe explained about Myanmar garment industry, U Mya Han (UMFCCI) explained about the livestock and fisheries sector in Myanmar, U Nyi Nyi Lwin (UMFCCI) explained about the gem and jewellery sector in Myanmar, and Myanmar Airways International (MAI) Chairman U Aung Zaw Zaw explained about the tourism sector in Myanmar.
In addition, ways how to accept and use Russian MIR Cards in Myanmar was explained showing a video clip and a question-and-answer session was held. Chairman of SAC Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended the forum and delivered a supplementary address.. The Forum was collaboratively organized by Myanmar Embassy in Russian Federation, Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI), MAI ၊ Roscongress Foundation၊ Fund RC-Investments၊ Russia-ASEAN Business Council and Russia-Myanmar Business Council.
