The Russian Ambassador to Myanmar, H.E. Mr. Iskander Azizov, said that he is considering to explore business opportunities between Myanmar and Russia. He said that he is seriously working to connect with Myanmar trade partners and conduct trading, and will cooperate with micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
The Russian ambassador added that Russia is considering to cooperate with MSMEs as the government is focusing on supporting MSMEs in the Myanmar business community.
Currently, bilateral trade between Myanmar and Russia is growing, with Russia exporting pharmaceutical products, fertilizers and other products to Myanmar. Russia plans to continue exporting agricultural machinery and equipment, and direct flights are being operated further to develop the tourism sector between Myanmar and Russia.
Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations Dr. Kan Zaw also said that the Myanmar-Russia trade and investment partnership has grown rapidly since the State Administrative Council took office.
