Myanmar- Belarus Business Forum was held at President Hotel in Minsk in Belarus on the evening of March 6, local time. Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing , who is in Belarus on a state visit, attended and delivered an opening address.
Next, Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus, Mr. Yuri Shuleiko, delivered a welcoming speech. Then U Aye Win ,Chairman of Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI), explained the investment opportunities in Myanmar and Ms. Helen Malinovskaya, Vice-Chairman of Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI), explained the export performance of Belarus.
Then, U Mya Han, Vice President of UMFCCI explained the development potential of Myanmar’s agriculture and livestock sector, while Daw Khaing Khaing Nwe, General Secretary of UMFCCI explained the opportunities in Myanmar manufacturing sector. Additionally, U Nyi Nyi Lwin from UMFCCI explained about the Myanmar gem and jewellery industry, and U Aung Aung Zaw, Chairman of MAI, explained about the Myanmar tourism industry. Officials attending the forum also explained about trading including effective mechanisms and the digital economy of Belarus.
Afterwards, Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations Dr. Kan Zaw and Mr. Mikhael Miatlikov, Chairman of BelCCI, delivered closing remarks. The Myanmar-Belarus Business Forum was jointly organized by (UMFCCI) and (BelCCI).
