According to traditional potters at Taung Kone Village, Ngathayork town in Nyaung U Township, the toddy gathering earthen pots were high in demand there.
It is said that Pyatho drinking water pots and toddy gathering earthen pots produced at Taung Kone Village in Nyaung U Township are the most popular and best- selling ones. The toddy producing areas such as Hnitkyatkhwe village in Kyaukpaduang township,Taungzin and Tatma villages in Nyaung-U township, Welaung village in Taungthar township, Taungthar, Pakokku and Ngathayork use only toddy gathering earthen pots produced at at Taung Kone Village, said U Myint Swe, a pottery owner.

Toddy gathering earthen pots are sold the most before the toddy producing season selling Ks.250 per pot.
In Taung Kone Village, only women are potters, while men are responsible for the work of kneading the soil and carrying the soil. Pottery is largely produced in Nattaw, Pyatho, Tapotwe, Tabaung, and Tagu. Taung Kone Village, Ngathayork town in Nyaung-U Township, has more than 120 households, and almost the entire village is engaged in traditional pottery.
