Sending Myanmar workers to Russia will be allowed only after a thoroughly scrutinized process, an official of Myanmar Overseas Employment Agency Association (MOEAA) told One News.
Despite receiving job offers from Russia to recruit Myanmar workers, they will only be allowed after a thoroughly scrutinized review on Russia’s weather conditions, employer-employee issues, cultural conditions and Russian language exams, the official said.

So far, Myanmar workers have not been sent to Russia, and there are difficulties in getting there to work. They will be allowed only after a thoroughly scrutinized process. Currently, there is no plan to send Myanmar workers to Russia, and when it will happen is not yet known, the official said.
A business coordination meeting was held on February 24 to sign an MoU between the two countries to send Myanmar workers to Russia, and Union Minister for Labor U Chit Swe and officials and representatives of MOEAA and licensed overseas employment agencies attended the meeting.

At the meeting, the Union Minister said that when sending workers abroad, licensed overseas employment agencies are to treat them like their own children and consider all possible situations and things as reputable companies.
