Due to the continuous import of fuel oil, the domestic fuel oil sufficiency situation has been ensured for daily consumption amount, and the reserve fuel oil has been stored for three weeks in advance as well, according to the Supervisory Committee on Import, Storage and Distribution of Fuel Oil.

Currently, three fuel oil tankers have berthed at the Thilawa fuel oil terminals, seven ships on the way, four ships being loaded with fuel oil abroad and six ships still waiting to be loaded with fuel oil. In March, fuel oil was imported with 30 ships. Therefore, measures have been taken to ensure that people in various regions do not have a shortage of fuel oil and can easily and smoothly purchase and use the required amount in the places where they need it.

Therefore, as fuel will be available for purchase and use as needed during the upcoming long public holidays including the Maha Thingyan period, businesses in other sectors can be regularly operated. In addition, fuel prices have been dropping continuously in March, and this week, the prices have decreased further by 70 to 75 kyats per liter compared to last week.
