The Yangon-Mawlamyine route has been launched on February 9 with chartered and individual EV taxis, and the number of passengers has been high, according to the Swan Thu Aung EV terminal. The Yangon-Mawlamyine route is operated by 10 EV Taxis per day. The fare is Ks. 60,000 for the front seat and Ks.50,000 for the back seat, with a capacity of 4 people per vehicle. Currently, the fare is 50 percent off from February 9 to 15.

The advantages of EV Taxi include the air conditioning being turned on throughout the journey, a comfortable ride without noise, and the ability to offer doorstep service to the nearest locations, said U Aung Myat Thu, Terminal in Charge of Swan Thu Aung EV terminal for The Yangon-Mawlamyine route and Yangon- Phyabon route. In addition, chartering EV taxis are also available to convenient locations such as Nay Pyi Taw, Pathein, Chaungtha, Ngwe Saung, and Kyaik Htiyo.
